Pre-Takeoff
1. How are your websites developed? All websites we bring to life are built using the open-source and widely popular WordPress content management system.
WordPress, being a notable favorite among many industry professionals and big brands alike, presently powers more than 26% of all websites on the internet and is our tool of choice for the job, as it allows you, the client, to easily manage your website.
With rare exceptions, every site is furthermore built on top of the Genesis Framework (from StudioPress), a premium WordPress framework that places strong emphasis on clean code, good performance, and tight security; three important nuggets that are essential to the success of your project.
If you have an existing website and would like to move to our full-service platform, don’t hesitate to contact us so we can figure out a solution for you.
Be advised that you must be interested in migrating/revamping/upgrading your current website. We will rebuild your site on the WordPress content management system, using the Genesis Framework.
In plain English, your new website will be user-friendly for you to manage, and built with quality, security and performance in mind.
If you have no text content, you have three options:
You can (1) produce the content yourself, (2) hire an established copywriting agency or freelance copywriter who will take the time to get to know you, understand the nature of your project and business, and piece together the site content for you accordingly, or (3) hire us to produce the content for you.
Before hiring a third party, we recommend you read the following articles:

You can hire copywriters and content creators at:
We can create or source custom graphics for your project, or you can purchase them from a third party.
You get a hands-free experience, allowing you to put your time and focus into the production and marketing side of your business, while we handle the oh-so-fun tech stuff such as:
- security and uptime monitoring
- maintenance and software updates
- performance-tuning
In case of technical bugs or errors, we handle those. If third parties need to be contacted, leave the hunting down, emailing and phone calling to us. You just make sure and get a good night’s rest.
There are no cPanel, phpMyAdmin or similar control systems on our servers.
The advantage of our full-service platform, is that we free you from even having to use these resource-intensive systems in the first place.
The things most people use cPanel for, we’ve already done for you by the time your website is launched.
Not having these systems installed also means a lot less security overhead to worry about and helps keep each hosting server lean.
So, all you need to do, is let us know what you need done and carry on with your day while we take care of it.
Out of best practice, and for security reasons, we do not.
In fact, we always recommend hosting your email inbox with a separate company from the one hosting your website, and to choose a company that specializes in email hosting specifically. This saves you a lot of needless hassle and complexity.
Our business uses and recommends FastMail.com, a modern and user-friendly email system which covers our needs.
We give each client the offer of setting up and configuring their own FastMail email account for their business free of charge, provided they sign up for a FastMail plan using our referral link.
General
1. Can I manage the content on my website?Absolutely. Our platform gives you a custom and user-friendly dashboard that you can log into and begin managing different parts of your site, including uploading files like images and documents.
You will easily be able to change the text and graphics on most pages as well as create and publish blog posts/articles and other types of content.
The key here, is that we’re standing by to handle the sensitive parts of your site so you don’t have to concern yourself with that.
Ýou bet. And we don’t take the importance of backups lightly.
All websites on our full-service platform sit on four layers of daily automated data backups:
- complete local backups of each individual website on the server (offloaded to Amazon S3 cloud storage)
- Duplicator backup packages (offloaded to Amazon S3 cloud storage)
- third party backup service with quick restore functionality (offloaded to Amazon S3 cloud storage)
- backup restoration points of each entire hosting server for last resort system-wide rollbacks
This way, we have four independent points of data restoring and retrieval in case something goes wrong. Depending on the nature of the site, we keep between 30-120 (or more) days of backups.
